Ergo-TIPS: Workstation Ergonomics Assessments

Ergonomic Assessment

The Problem:

Most regular computer users suffer aches, pains, or discomfort that, if left unchecked, can lead to more serious problems, & time off work!

Costs include:

·         The need for expensive intervention

·         Time off work creates a negative ripple effect for the business

·         Working with pain/discomfort is less productive

·         Increasing worker’s compensation claims & premiums

The Solution:

Have the worker’s workstation ergonomically assessed pro-actively or if they report issues, &/or if you are concerned about the suitability of their equipment.

An experienced TIPS consultant educates on ideal postures, & adjusts the workstations, & provides a full report to the employer. Most often, new equipment is not required (if so this is only discussed with management), so it’s extremely cost effective.

Benefits:

·         Physio based clinical discussion of any pain issues the worker has

·         Postures and interaction with workstations is made more comfortable and less anatomically fatiguing

·         Workers receive strategies, including stretches, to use through shift to decrease fatigue

·         Worker are more aware of their behaviours, and obligations

·         Assessments can be conducted individually as required, or in small groups.
